Thank you for supporting my campaign. For someone new to politics, raising money is the most uncomfortable part of the job. However, it seems to be very much a necessary evil.
The rules on political contributions in South Carolina are straightforward: anyone can give up to $1000 per election cycle (i.e.: primary or general election). A couple can give $2000, $1000 from the husband and $1000 from the wife.
In South Carolina, businesses can also give $1000. If a business owner controls various companies, each can donate $1000, so long as they have different checking accounts. These limits are also per election cycle. South Carolina law requires that I collect each donor’s full name, address, phone, occupation, and employer (if applicable). For businesses I need the nature of the firm.
You can contribute two ways:
Check: Checks should be made out to “Mulvaney for SC Senate” and mailed to 518 Ralph Hood Road, Indian Land, SC 29707. Please include the contribution card, which you can download here.
Credit Card: You can click on the button below to use your credit card to contribute. This payment is through PayPal, the safest and most secure way to use your credit card on the internet.
PLEASE KNOW THAT NO CASH DONATIONS CAN BE ACCEPTED. Thank you again for your help. Please contact me with any questions. Mick |
